ORGAN AND BRASS CONCERT RECAP

St. Mary's Church held an organ and brass concert on Sunday, March 6 at 7:30. The concert featured Tim Claubaugh, Organist and the Tera Brass Choir. Approximatley 125 people attended the concert.

Since hymns are such a big part of church organists, Claubaugh chose to play pieces based on hymns for his part of the program. Included was the piece "Prelude, Trio, and Finale on 'Holy God, We Praise Thy Name'" by area composer and organist Henry Kihlken. Kihlken is the Organist at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Clinton and has many choral and organ works published.

The Terra Arts Chorale joined the forces of the organ and brass in a performance of Gabriel Faure's "Pavane" conducted by their director, Michael Shirtz.
